In October, a volunteer team from Ford joined Fundación San Genaro on a two-day trip to Santiago del Estero with a clear goal: to get to work on improving rural education.
At School No. 1089 in Puerta del Monte, the team painted the entire exterior of the building and restored the flagpole, renewing a space that symbolizes school unity and pride. They also installed a solar-powered LED lamp, improving a key area shared by the entire community.
The day was filled with connections and smiles. The volunteers engaged in recreational activities with the students and enjoyed a communal lunch with teachers and families. During these moments of play and togetherness, each person brought their best and discovered the transformative power of solidarity.
The Ford team also took the opportunity to visit other schools in the region. At Navarro School, they donated soccer balls to promote outdoor play and sports, while in Paso de Oscares, they engaged in support activities, listening to and spending time with students and educators.
This trip was much more than a volunteer experience. It was an opportunity to learn, to be inspired, and to remember that, when we join forces, we build hope and create an impact that endures.
