When a school improves, everything gets better

In rural schools, change doesn’t happen overnight. But when it does, you can feel it.

For years, the school in Puerta del Monte, a small rural town in Santiago del Estero, had to cope with leaking roofs, cracked walls, and dark classrooms. Today, after lots of hard work, that reality is finally shifting.

Thanks to the support of the Chicago Argentina Foundation, and the connection made possible by Help Argentina, we were able to carry out essential improvements that are already making a real impact. We reinforced foundations, sealed cracks, added thermal insulation to the roof, and fully renovated the classrooms, kitchen, and dining room.

We also installed a water filter so every student now has access to safe drinking water, every day.

Each improvement is more than just a repair. It’s a concrete statement: education matters, and so do these kids.

And while there’s still work ahead, the school looks different now. Brighter. Safer. More ready to make learning a right, not a daily struggle.

Thanks to everyone who made this possible. We’ll keep working so that more rural schools across Argentina can grow with dignity, with the resources they deserve… and with joy.
