In the most remote rural areas of the country, where roads are unpaved and the nearest hospital is hours away, healthcare reaches communities in pickup trucks\u2014right where it\u2019s needed most: at school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Every year, our team of volunteers travels to Santiago del Estero to provide primary healthcare services. This time, the schools of Puente del Saladillo, Horcos Tucucuna, Taco Isla, La Totorilla, El Laurel, and El Mistol were transformed into health centers for a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pediatricians, nutritionists, and social workers offered check-ups and care to 128 children and their families. Each day was a chance to listen to their stories, to witness the strength of these communities, and to renew our commitment to a right that still feels distant for many: access to healthcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But this work goes beyond medical attention. It\u2019s about building trust, offering close support, and ensuring continued follow-up with every visit. It\u2019s about names and faces\u2014real lives\u2014that deserve to be cared for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are deeply thankful to each volunteer who joined this journey with a shared conviction: healthcare should reach everyone, no matter how far they live. And that\u2019s only possible thanks to committed professionals who travel for miles, carrying their scrubs and tools to uphold a right that brings us together\u2014the right to be healthy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This journey reminds us that, even when the roads are long and the communities isolated, solidarity and commitment can make health care a tangible, transformative, and deeply human experience. Because every gesture, every appointment, and every smile leaves a lasting mark\u2014on those who receive, and on those who give.
